Responsible Gaming
Last updated: November 2, 2026Gaming should be fun. This page helps you keep it that way, and shows what to do if it stops being fun.
You must be 18 or older to play real-money games. Never play with borrowed money, and never use money you need for rent, food, bills, education or health.
Our Commitment
We want players to make informed choices. We list apps with their minimum withdrawals and bonuses clearly, we encourage free practice before you play for cash, and we never present gaming as a way to earn a living or solve money problems.
Ten Habits of Responsible Players
- Set a budget first. Decide how much you can afford to lose before you start, and treat it as the cost of entertainment.
- Set a time limit. Use a phone alarm so a quick game does not turn into hours.
- Never chase losses. Trying to win back money you have lost usually makes things worse.
- Do not play when upset, tired or under the influence. Decisions are weaker when emotions are high.
- Take regular breaks. Step away, drink water, talk to someone.
- Keep gaming separate from essential money. Bills and savings come first.
- Use free practice tables to learn the rules before paying.
- Keep track. Note what you deposit and withdraw so you always know where you stand.
- Use the app’s tools. Many apps offer deposit limits, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion. Use them.
- Remember the odds. Games involve luck and risk. Nobody wins every time.
Warning Signs
Consider taking a break and talking to someone you trust if you notice that you:
- Spend more money or time than you planned, again and again.
- Feel restless or irritable when you try to stop.
- Borrow money, or hide how much you play from family and friends.
- Think about gaming all the time, or neglect work, study or family.
- Play to escape stress, loneliness or low mood.
- Keep playing to win back what you have lost.
If You Need to Step Back
- Use the self-exclusion or account-closure options inside the app.
- Uninstall the apps and remove saved payment methods from your phone.
- Talk to a family member or friend you trust.
- Speak to a doctor or qualified mental-health professional. In India, the Tele-MANAS helpline (14416 or 1800-891-4416) offers free, confidential support.
For Parents and Guardians
Keep payment apps protected with a PIN, do not leave cards or UPI unlocked on shared devices, and talk openly with young people about the risks of real-money gaming. These apps are strictly for adults.
